2. Help motivate patients who drink more than is medically safe to drink less.
3. Engage patients you evaluate and identify with AUD in discussions about problematic drinking as well as treatment options (medications, behavioral therapy, support groups) and benefits.
4. Offer evidence-informed pharmacotherapy to patients with AUD based on patient goals and characteristics.
